Thailand Boat Festival 2026: A celebration of maritime tourism in Phuket!

There is a very special event on the program in Phuket: the Thailand Boat Festival will take place in the Phuket Boat Lagoon from January 15th to 18th, 2026. This event, organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand is celebrating the return to the place of origin of Thailand's first international marine exhibition after almost two decades. A real highlight for anyone interested in maritime tourism and local culture.

The festival has a lot planned. The aim is to further develop maritime tourism in Thailand and to promote international cooperation within the framework of the IMT-GT, the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand growth triangle. An exciting program item will be the seminar “Unlocking Thailand’s Potential as a Leading Marine Tourism Destination in Southeast Asia” on January 16th, where representatives from the government and private sector will discuss the future of maritime tourism in Thailand.

Diverse supporting program

The festival not only offers informative panels, but also an impressive exhibition. Over 44 yachts from 24 international brands will be on display, and visitors can look forward to sailing boats and various watercraft. Other attractions include glimpses of luxury real estate and local cultural performances that highlight Thailand's diversity.

Another important panel will take place on January 17th with the topic “IMT-GT as a dream destination for a high-quality yachting experience”. The focus is not only on marketing strategies, but also on the development of travel guides to promote maritime tourism between the three countries. The long-term goal? To further strengthen Thailand's role as a maritime tourism center in the region.

More than just a festival

The Thailand Boat Festival offers other attractions, including the opportunity to take part in water activities and admire impressive supercars. Entrance for visitors costs 100 THB per person per day, while a VIP ticket is available for 3,000 THB. On opening day, January 15, gates open at 2 p.m. and remain open until 9 p.m.; On the following days the festival will remain open from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Another exciting program item is the seminar on converting cryptocurrency from Web3 wallets to THB, which will take place on January 16th at 5:00 p.m. at the White House @Phuket Boat Lagoon. In addition, the Bangkok Hospital Phuket ensures medical availability on site, which provides additional security for all participants.
