A life for sport

“แน็ต” was just 8 years old when she took her first steps in badminton. In another part of Asia, the Philippines, Toby’s Sports Arena set standards with its new 1,000 m² store. The country's largest sports store, also one of the largest in Asia, offers not only classic sporting goods but also innovative attractions such as a basketball court, a free-form climbing wall and the world's first full-fledged badminton court in a store. Toby's Sports aims to promote sport and fitness as a lifestyle, especially among young people.

Sports promotion and community

Toby Claudio, the founder's eldest son, wants to motivate children through various sports programs so that they can develop their full potential. Over 4,000 participants have already taken part in tennis, badminton and volleyball tournaments organized by the company to promote enthusiasm for these sports.

A standout event is the Toby’s Age Group Badminton Championship, which has been running for four years and attracts more than 2,500 participants aged 8 to 18. These tournaments offer young people a platform to show off their skills and develop themselves further. Particularly in badminton, where international success has been limited in recent years, Toby's Sports would like to initiate a rethink through regional tournaments and programs.

Preparations for such events often require close collaboration between the private sector and national sports federations. Claudio emphasizes the importance of the government financially supporting sports development and creating a framework that encourages private companies to support it. The vision is clear: sport should bring joy and offer young athletes moments of fame and recognition.
