Investors meet for the mega event: AI and quantum computing in focus!

On November 3, 2025, a high-profile event took place in Thailand that is causing a stir in the financial world. The Investors Association of Thailand and Webull hosted the seminar “Change 100X – เปลี่ยนวิธีคิดการลงทุนสู่ยุค AI”, which was hailed as the best investment event of the year became. The event attracted numerous experts and investors who exchanged views on current trends and strategies.

Investors Association President Mie Tiva Chinthadapong opened the event with a powerful message: High returns depend not only on the stocks themselves, but also on the mindset of investors. He cited well-known examples such as Netflix and BYD that have achieved high returns on long-term investments. Professor March Trendlongtun added to this by explaining that “100X stocks” can be achieved not just through buying and selling, but through a deep understanding of companies and a long-term perspective.

Technological trends and their importance

But not everything was rosy: Professor Bom Atthaporn Jongraksak warned of a possible “AI bubble”. This could be driven forward by massive investments by large technology companies. Instead, he highlighted the role of chips and AI infrastructure, with TSMC standing out as a key player. Top Kittipong Leehiranapong compared the current AI era to the early days of the smartphone, citing Amazon and Alphabet as promising winners in the coming years. The AI market could grow 25-fold in the next decade, which excited the audience.

Another highlight was the presentation of Quantum Computing by Modz Klaphachon. He outlined the exciting possibilities that technologies like IonQ can offer and highlighted that the quantum revolution is not just a vision of the future, but is already taking concrete form. This technology has received a lot of attention in recent years, not least because of the cybersecurity crisis launched by the US government to combat impending quantum threats. This topic has also been central to the discussion about investing in quantum computing companies.

Current developments in quantum computing

As the Fool reports, Wall Street analysts have identified the narrative surrounding quantum computing as a driving force behind the rise in these stocks. Companies like IonQ and D-Wave Quantum are talking about huge growth rates - IonQ has seen an increase of 423% in the last twelve months. Nevertheless, the market is also making huge waves: D-Wave recorded USD 15 million in sales in the first quarter with an impressive growth of 509% compared to the previous year.

The importance of government strategic preparations against quantum attacks shows that quantum computing has moved from a speculative technology to an inevitable reality. The White House predicts that the government's transition to new cryptographic standards will cost up to $7.1 billion by 2035.

During these turbulent times, the seminar not only offered insights into upcoming trends, but also practical tips. During the “Pitch Stocks” segment, participants pitched numerous stocks, including prominent names such as Duolingo, Palantir and Madrigal Pharmaceuticals. At the end of the day, Hesai Technology stock was named the audience's favorite. The event concluded with an innovative passive income generation strategy presented by Professor Nat Nattakrit Apithanrat.

In summary, investors in Thailand and beyond need to prepare for an exciting but challenging future in which technology such as AI and quantum computing will play a central role.
