Visa-free vacation: These 3 countries are a must for Indians!

Thailand attracts millions of Indian tourists every year, and for good reason. Not only is it visa-free for Indians, but it also offers a wealth of opportunities for recreation, adventure and cultural discovery. Popular travel destinations include the beautiful beaches of Phuket, Koh Lanta and Krabi. Shoppers' hearts beat faster in the metropolis of Bangkok, while history and culture enthusiasts get their money's worth in cities like Ayutthaya and Chiang Mai. Loud Dynamite News Thailand is a particularly popular honeymoon destination.

For Indian travelers, visa-free entry is valid for up to 60 days, which is a significant improvement compared to the previous 15 days. This regulation, which is valid from May 1, 2025, also requires the new Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), which must be filled out online before arrival. These regulations apply to all travelers with an Indian passport who wish to visit Thailand for tourism or short-term business reasons, it is reported Thai Life Real Estate.

To apply for the digital entry card, important information such as passport details, flight information and accommodation details must be entered. The TDAC can be applied for up to three days before arrival and is initially free of charge. To avoid stress, travelers should make sure to have all the necessary documents and copies ready and to be at the airport on time.

Proof of sufficient financial resources is also required - around 20,000 Thai Baht should be enough. If you want to stay longer, you can have your visa-free entry extended for another 30 days, although this will incur costs. The corresponding extensions are being offered in popular cities such as Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Chiang Mai. While multiple entries within a 30- to 60-day time frame are not an issue, travelers should be prepared to answer questions about the frequency of entries and exits.

In order to cope with all these bureaucratic requirements, it is advisable to inform yourself in good time. The upcoming summer brings with it a new tourist tax of 300 baht for foreign passengers who stay in Thailand for more than 24 hours. This levy is scheduled to be introduced in spring/summer 2026 and the revenue is earmarked for sustainable tourism projects and infrastructure upgrades, such as ADAC communicates.

So, there are many factors to consider for Indian tourists, but the benefits that Thailand offers as a travel-friendly destination are undeniable.
