Phuket shows itself at its best
Phuket has established itself as a leading location for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions), and this will be underpinned by three international events in 2026. The city will host the Global Sustainable Tourism Conference (GSTC), the InterPride General Meeting & World Conference and the Global Wellness Summit (GWS). Loud Siam Rath A total of around 2,100 participants from all over the world will come to Phuket, which is expected to have a significant impact of around 351.40 million baht on the local economy.
The Global Sustainable Tourism Conference will be held from April 21 to 24, 2026, followed by the InterPride Conference organized from October 28 to November 1, 2026. The conclusion will be the Global Wellness Summit, which will take place from November 10th to 13th, 2026. Here, Phuket shows itself as an international MICE destination and at the same time positions itself as a pioneer in topics such as sustainability, wellness and diversity.
Dedicated support
The acquisition of these important events is supported by the Bureau of Convention and Exhibition Promotion (TCEB). This shows how serious Phuket is about asserting itself in the international MICE market. The city has the potential to not only support the tourism sector, but also actively support local businesses and communities.
Beautiful prospects for everyone
Phuket becomes particularly notable for the LGBTQIA+ community, especially by hosting the InterPride event, which finds an ideal location here. With its open and friendly atmosphere, the city attracts people from all over the world and thus reinforces its positive image.
Another major goal of Phuket is to establish itself as a center for wellness and health tourism. This will be supported by new investments and high-quality services that drive the city forward in its vision. Phuket has already developed a strong sustainable tourism infrastructure and is working with the UNDP on sustainable development goals. A lot is happening here, and developments show that Phuket is willing to focus on a sustainable and future-proof tourism strategy.
With all this news, Phuket not only stands out as an attractive travel destination, but also does really good business for the local economy. Who knows, perhaps this is the beginning of a new era for the island, which will attract and permanently delight not only tourists but also investors.
