Police in Phuket conducted an urgent raid during the annual vegetarian festival on October 27, 2025. This was done under the direction of Police Commissioner P.T. Chatchai Chukaev, who decided to take action against illegal activities and violence that could jeopardize the event. During the operation, five suspects were arrested and various weapons and ammunition were seized, sparking excitement and concern in the region.
During the raid, the police seized a total of three firearms and several units of ammunition. In the first two cases, two homemade weapons - one hook-shaped and one pen-shaped - were found in the possession of young people. Specifically, these are:

Preventive measures
